Terms of Use

Last updated: August 19, 2026

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of CalculatorsGuide (the “Site”). By accessing or using the Site you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Disclaimer and Privacy Policy, which form part of these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

1. What the Site is

The Site provides free online calculators and related educational content for general information only. All calculations run in your own web browser; we do not receive, process or store the values you enter.

2. Informational use only — no professional advice

The Site is provided strictly for general informational and educational purposes and for no other purpose. It does not provide financial, investment, tax, accounting, legal, medical, engineering, safety, academic or any other professional advice, and using it creates no professional relationship. Our full Disclaimer, including the list of uses for which the Site must not be used, is incorporated into these Terms by reference and applies in full.

3. Permitted use

You may use the Site for personal, educational, internal business and commercial reference purposes, free of charge. You agree that you will not:

  • use the Site for any unlawful purpose, or in breach of any applicable law or regulation;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Site, its server, or any connected system or network;
  • introduce malware, or interfere with, disrupt, overload or attack the Site or its infrastructure;
  • use automated systems (scraping, crawling, bots) in a way that imposes an unreasonable load, circumvents technical limits, or copies the Site in substantial part;
  • republish, mirror or redistribute the Content as a substantially similar competing service;
  • remove, obscure or alter any copyright, attribution or proprietary notice;
  • misrepresent results as having been produced, endorsed or certified by us for a regulated purpose.

4. Intellectual property

The Site's text, explanations, examples, design, code, logos and other materials are owned by CalculatorsGuide or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. Mathematical formulas and facts are not owned by anyone; our particular expression of them is. You may quote short extracts with clear attribution and a link, and you may cite pages using the citation formats provided on each calculator page.

5. Accuracy and no warranties

The Site and all Content are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express, implied or statutory, including implied warranties of accuracy, completeness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or that results are accurate, current or suitable for your circumstances. You are solely responsible for verifying any result before relying on it.

6. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, CalculatorsGuide, its owner, operators and contributors shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary or punitive damages, or for any loss of profit, revenue, business, goodwill, data, savings or opportunity, arising out of or in connection with your use of or inability to use the Site or reliance on any Content, whether based in contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability or otherwise, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, our total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to the Site is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid to use the Site, which is zero, or (b) USD 100.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including non-waivable consumer rights.

7. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless CalculatorsGuide, its owner, operators and contributors from and against all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from or related to your use or misuse of the Site, your reliance on any result, any decision you make based on the Content, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

8. Third-party links and advertising

The Site may link to third-party websites and may display third-party advertising. We do not control or endorse them and accept no responsibility for their content, products, services, privacy practices or any dealings between you and them.

9. Availability, changes and termination

We may modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the Site, and may update these Terms, at any time without notice. Changes take effect when published; the date above shows the last update, and continued use constitutes acceptance. We may restrict or terminate access for any user who breaches these Terms.

10. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of [COUNTRY / STATE TO BE COMPLETED BY THE SITE OWNER], without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and the courts of that jurisdiction shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute — except where mandatory law in your country of residence gives you the right to bring proceedings locally.

11. Severability and entire agreement

If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, that provision will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions will stay in full force. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of it. These Terms, together with the Disclaimer and Privacy Policy, form the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Site.

Note for the site owner: complete section 10 with your jurisdiction, and have these Terms reviewed by a qualified lawyer before launch. This page reflects common good practice but is not legal advice, and some clauses are limited or unenforceable in certain jurisdictions — particularly against consumers in the EU/UK.
