1. Informational and educational purposes only
CalculatorsGuide (the “Site”) and every calculator, converter, formula, explanation, table, example and article on it (together, the “Content”) are provided strictly for general informational and educational purposes. The Content is not intended for, and must not be used as, a substitute for professional judgement or advice, and it is not intended for any purpose other than general information.
2. No professional advice and no professional relationship
Nothing on the Site constitutes financial, investment, accounting, tax, legal, business, medical, health, nutritional, engineering, construction, safety, academic or any other form of professional advice. Using the Site does not create any advisor–client, fiduciary, doctor–patient, attorney–client or other professional relationship between you and CalculatorsGuide or its owner.
You should always obtain advice from a qualified professional who is licensed in your jurisdiction and who understands your specific circumstances before making any decision, and in particular before making any financial, tax, legal, medical, structural, safety-related or academic decision.
3. No warranty of accuracy or fitness
The Content is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties or representations of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including without limitation any implied warranties of accuracy, completeness, reliability, timeliness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted or error-free operation.
We take accuracy seriously — our methodology page describes the sources and the automated tests we use — but we do not warrant that any calculator, formula, result, rate, figure, benchmark or explanation is accurate, current, complete or suitable for your situation. Formulas, standards, conventions, tax rates and industry figures change over time and vary by jurisdiction. Results may contain errors, omissions or rounding differences, and software may contain defects.
4. You are responsible for verifying results
You must independently verify every result before relying on it. You are solely responsible for how you use the Site, for the values you enter, for checking that a calculator is appropriate for your purpose, for interpreting its output, and for any decision, action or omission you make based on it. Do not use the Site as the sole basis for any decision that has financial, legal, medical, academic, structural or safety consequences.
5. Prohibited and unsuitable uses
The Site is not designed, tested, certified or licensed for, and must not be used for, any of the following, and you agree not to use it for them:
- medical diagnosis, treatment, dosing or any clinical or patient-care decision;
- structural, civil, mechanical, electrical, aerospace or other engineering design, load calculation, or any safety-critical system;
- filing, reporting or computing taxes, duties or statutory returns;
- preparing regulated financial statements, audits, prospectuses or investment advice, or making trading or investment decisions;
- legal filings, contractual computations or evidentiary purposes;
- any application where an inaccurate result could result in injury, death, property damage, environmental harm, financial loss or breach of law;
- any purpose that is unlawful in your jurisdiction.
If a calculation matters, have it independently checked by a qualified, licensed professional using tools validated for that purpose.
6. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, CalculatorsGuide, its owner, operators and contributors shall not be liable for any loss or damage of any kind arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the Site or the Content. This includes, without limitation, direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary or punitive damages; loss of profit, revenue, business, goodwill, data, savings or opportunity; and losses arising from errors, inaccuracies, omissions, interruptions, delays, defects, viruses or unauthorised access — whether based in contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability or any other legal theory, and whether or not we were advised of the possibility of such loss.
Nothing in this disclaimer excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any statutory consumer rights you may have that cannot be waived.
7. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless CalculatorsGuide, its owner, operators and contributors from and against any claims, demands, liabilities, damages, losses, costs and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your use or misuse of the Site or the Content, your reliance on any result, your breach of this disclaimer or of our Terms of Use, or your violation of any law or of any third party's rights.
8. Third-party content, links and advertising
The Site may contain links to third-party websites and may display advertising served by third parties. We do not control, endorse, guarantee or assume responsibility for any third-party site, product, service, claim or advertisement, and we are not responsible for any transaction, loss or dispute between you and a third party. Reference to any source in a “Sources & Further Reading” section is for attribution and further reading only and does not imply endorsement of this Site by that source.
9. Availability and changes
We may change, suspend, correct or remove any part of the Site or the Content at any time without notice, and we do not guarantee continuous availability. This disclaimer may be updated; the date at the top shows when it last changed, and your continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated version.
10. Contact
Questions about this disclaimer, or a suspected error in a calculator, can be sent to contact@calculatorsguide.com. We investigate reported errors and correct confirmed ones.
Note for the site owner: this page states standard, good-practice protections, but it is not legal advice and no wording makes a website operator immune from all liability. Have it reviewed by a qualified lawyer in your jurisdiction before launch, and complete the governing-law section in the Terms of Use.
